I’m ‘M’ - the creator behind Medic To Marketer. My niche is faceless digital marketing, hence the mysterious James Bond-esque codename, and I’m on a mission to grow digital wealth and gain financial freedom. Since you’re here, I’m guessing you would like that too!

 

I’ve been a registered NHS clinician for over ten years and seen births, deaths and everything in between. I have learned many lessons from this career, with the most fundamental being life is too short to be unhappy. Having recently gotten married, I’m now entering a new phase of my life where I want more freedom and choice around when and where I work. I want to spend more time at home with family, instead of being trapped in an endless cycle of early starts, late finishes and antisocial shift work - missing birthdays, Christmas and my mischievous golden retriever.

 

I had been looking for ways to make extra money online to reduce my clinical hours (in between browsing NHS jobs) and came across Digital Marketing on social media. To begin with I was pretty sceptical. However the more I researched and understood the business model, the more I realised what an opportunity it was to earn decent money without needing any previous experience in the industry. Then I discovered I could do it without showing my face!

 

I chose the faceless method because the idea of filming myself regularly filled me with dread. As a natural perfectionist, I know I would have wasted hours and hours reshooting videos because IT WASN’T PERFECT and ended up achieving nothing apart from getting frustrated. Whether it was from stumbling my words, not liking how I looked or sounded, not having an ‘aesthetic background’ or the dog getting zoomies - going face forward just wasn’t for me. Additionally as a busy NHS worker, being able to create aesthetic faceless content in just a few hours each day was the perfect way to make additional income in my free time (instead of doom scrolling) and remaining anonymous reduced any risk of inadvertently breeching professional standards. I also quite like the mystery of being a digital ‘Lady Whistledown’ (although my blog will be filled with tips instead of scandalous gossip)!

So here I am, launching in October 2024 with the goal of learning new digital skills, starting an online business from scratch with zero followers, creating a community of like minded people and gradually building digital wealth for more financial freedom.
